The Hermiston Bulldogs travel to Pasco tonight to take on the Chiawana Riverhawks in the marquee matchup in the Mid-Columbia Conference.

The game pits the 4-1 Bulldogs, who won Oregon’s 5A football title a year ago against the 3-2 Riverhawks, who many picked as favorites to win the conference. The two teams, however, are coming into tonight’s game with very different results the past two weeks. Hermiston has a 2-game winning streak while the Riverhawks have lost their past two games.

The teams have faced two common opponents this year in Richland and Kennewick. The Bulldogs beat Richland, 27-21, on Sept. 7 while Chiawana beat Richland, 19-0, on Aug. 31. The Bulldogs lost a close one to Kennewick, 26-25, on Sept. 14, while Chiawana beat the Kennewick, 27-26, on Sept. 6.

Tonight’s game is at 7 p.m. at Edgar Brown Stadium in Pasco.
