Heart disease is the leading cause of death in northeast Oregon and is increasing in many communities in Umatilla and Morrow counties. To raise awareness about this trend, the Oregon Washington Health Network of Pendleton, in collaboration with Yellowhawk Tribal Health Center, the Morrow County Health Department, and Good Shepherd Health Care System, is hosting a free heart disease clinic today from 9 a.m. to noon.

This drop-in event takes place in the Good Shepherd Medical Plaza, next to the hospital, in rooms M-01 and M-02. Because of construction fences around the front entrance, attendees are advised to use the entrance in the back of the building.
