The Education Foundation of Pendleton is inviting the public to the fourth annual Grillin’ for Grants fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Pendleton Convention Center.

The evening includes a tri-tip dinner with sides and dessert and live and silent auctions. The meat will be grilled by Pendleton High School Athletic Director Troy Jerome, and the meal is served by PHS student volunteers.

Advance tickets are $25 each and available at the Pendleton Chamber of Commerce, the Pendleton School District Office, Pendleton Art+Frame or from a foundation board member.

The Education Foundation of Pendleton funds enrichment opportunities for students of the Pendleton School District, including field trips, academic conferences, workshops, speakers and artist-in-residence programs at local schools. The foundation provided $22,000 in funding in their past two grant cycles.

The EFP thanks all local businesses who are 2018 sponsors, including St. Anthony Hospital, Gordon’s Electric, Rogers Toyota of Hermiston, Tom Denchel’s Ford Country and Elkhorn Media Group.

“We are really encouraging the community to attend Grillin’ for Grants for a fun evening and a great way to support opportunities for Pendleton students that they wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience,” said Darcey Ridgway, EFP board president.
