Kevin Moore Named New HHS Baseball Coach

The Hermiston School District director of athletics and activities will recommend Kevin Moore as the head baseball coach to the Board of Education at its July 10 regular board meeting.

Moore currently serves as an elementary physical education teacher at Maxine Johnson Elementary School in Parma, Idaho. A role he has held for the past twelve years. Moore served as the golf assistant coach for Parma High School during the 2016-17 school year. He has been an assistant coach for a varsity baseball and football team as well as a junior varsity baseball team.

Moore has a bachelor of arts degree in secondary education/physical education and health education from Concordia University. He is currently working on his master’s degree with Concordia University in Nebraska.

“Hermiston athletics is very excited to have Kevin as part of our baseball program and our overall athletic program,” said Larry Usher, director of athletics and activities for the Hermiston School District. “He brings a lot of experience in athletics, and most importantly, very successful experience in baseball. We expect him to hit the ground running once he relocates, and begin making an impact in Hermiston’s baseball program.”
