This Friday, June 15, is the deadline to register for the Hermiston Kids Triathlon that takes place on Saturday, June 23 at the Hermiston Family Aquatic Center.
Costs are $15 for residents and $18 for non-residents. No experience is necessary for this non-competitive swimming, bicycling and running event.
Kids will be divided into two age groups. All 7- through 12-year-olds must be able to swim 50 meters, bike 1 mile and run .75 mile. All 4- through 6-year-olds must be able to swim 50 feet (lifejackets are available), bike .6 mile (training wheels are allowed) and run .4 mile.
