Things have been quiet lately, what with all the snow and ice, but here’s our weekly look at what folks are reporting to the Hermiston Police Department.

Tuesday, Jan. 3
Anyone Missing a Leash-Eating Chihuahua?
RP found a dog last night, little small Chihuahua mix. RP says female with a purple collar, nylon chewed off leash that was blue. RP took the dog home and wants it logged.

Friday, Jan. 6
Because the Motels Were Booked Up
RP informing HPD that he will be spending the night at the post office.

Saturday, Jan. 7
What Did He Expect?
RP went inside Shari’s for a moment, and came out, his vehicle was gone. Keys were inside, vehicle running.

Wednesday, Jan. 11
‘Being’ Not ‘Acting’
RP reports that there are people over there on 11th Street being suspicious.

Friday, Jan. 13
Bad Luck
RP just witnessed a truck run over her neighbor’s mailbox on E. Highland Ave.

Feeling No Pain
RP in HPD lobby to speak to officer about his wife’s pain pills. RP gave her pain med at 3:30 this morning, was going to give her meds at 7:30 and whole bottle is gone.

Call the Vet
RP reports an injured owl at residence on W. Hemlock Ave.

Saturday, Jan. 14
Call the Shelter
RP states that there is a gold van parked in the parking lot with kittens crying inside.

Sunday, Jan. 15
Definitely Loud, Possibly Stoned
RP advises at least two subjects in the laundry room, H Building, being very loud and possibly smoking marijuana.

Monday, Jan. 16
Call the Mechanic
RP says she believes she ran over a manhole in the area with no cover on it.

Jan. 17
Sounds Reasonable
Received scam call from Publisher’s Clearing House. Caller advised that she would need to obtain a Government Approval Receipt from Walmart for a total cost of $285 before she would receive her winnings.
