Casey Riddle

Casey Kyle Riddle went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday June 13, 2016. He was born in Pendleton on May 22, 1991 to Charles Riddle and Tina Limbaugh Schroeder.

Casey attended grade school in Stanfield, Pendleton and moved to Athena with his mom and sisters when he was in the fourth grade. He gained another father, grandparents, great grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins when his mom remarried in March 2006 to Hans Schroeder of Athena.

He had a passion for sports he competed in football, track, basketball but his one true love was baseball and his beloved Boston Red Sox!! If you needed to know a stat or player he had a historical knowledge of any athlete that was phenomenal. He was a lefty and was an awesome pitcher and center fielder for the Weston McEwen Tigerscots. He graduated from Weston McEwen in 2010. Casey joined the East Umatilla Rural Fire District shortly after turning 18 at the end of his junior year in high school and his passion for firefighting grew every day. He did attend one term at BMCC in Pendleton but was ready to move forward with his career. When the big oil boom in North Dakota hit he packed up at the age of 20 and moved to the New Town/Williston ND area working on the frac sites for over three years. He was a very dedicated and passionate worker. He finally decided as things were starting to dry up in North Dakota to move home in September 2015.

Casey had an infectious smile and lit up any room as soon as he walked in. He often put the needs of others before his own. He loved with all his heart and would be there for his friends or family anytime they needed him. He was affectionally known as “Mr. Naughty” when one day his Aunt Cindy Limbaugh Pryor asked what he was doing and he looked at her and said “bein naughty!”
Casey was an overprotective brother and his beautiful niece Ryleigh had her unkie wrapped around her little finger as an infant, where he would often stay up all night walking her around to settle her tummy.

Casey is survived by his parents Hans & Tina Schroeder of Holdman; Charlie Riddle of Irrigon; siblings Ashleigh (niece Ryleigh) and Lexi Schroeder all of Holdman, Tatjana Schroeder of Beaverton and Zane Riddle of Irrigon; grandparents Jim & Pati Schroeder of Apple Valley, CA; Bill & Linda Simmons of Colton; Jenny Rae of Spokane WA, Bob Riddle of Hermiston and Gary & Bev Limbaugh of Enterprise; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandma Karen Riddle of Hermiston; great grandparents Pat & Ruth Maier (Bampy & Granny) of Salem OR, Frank & Helen Guthrie, Wayne & Lela Limbaugh and great great grandma Marie Burdett all of Enterprise, whom were all instrumental in his upbringing.

He will be truly missed by all of his family, friends, co-workers and anyone who met him. A Go Fund Me page was created by his Aunt Kay Limbaugh to help the family with expenses gofundme.com/Casey Kyle Riddle.

He will have a full State of Oregon Firefighter Honor Guard service at Milton Freewater Central Middle School Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2 p.m.
