The President’s Volunteer Service Award led by AmeriCorps aims to recognize the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity. The award is given to members of qualifying organizations, to honor individuals whose service positively impacts communities and inspires those around them.

Osorio Estrada is an active participant in the HHS FCCLA. He has served as a chapter officer the last two years, in addition to serving as an Oregon FCCLA State Officer during the 2022-2023 school year.

“I feel very honored that I was considered for this award and am thankful that I am being recognized for all my hard work,” said Osorio Estrada. “As former President Ronald Reagan once said, ‘We can’t help everyone, but everyone can help someone.’ ”
