Beverly Baker

Beverly Ann Baker went to be with her beloved husband of 61 years, Jack, and son Cory in heaven on March 3, 2024 at her home in Irrigon at the age of 83.

She was born on Jan. 5, 1941.

She was a beautician for the movie Rooster Cogburn with John Wayne. She could cut your hair, bake a cake, and win a dance contest all in one day. She followed Jack to Hermiston in 1974 when they bought the Pheasant. In the following 20 years, they owned several businesses in the area: Jesse James, Bojacks, Bakes, Caravan and The Stagecoach, just to name a few. Riding horses and ATVs, camping, and gardening were some favorite pastimes. She loved her family and friends and she had a way of making getting lost fun. One of her sayings was, “If I had known that’s where it was, I would have known where it was the whole time.”

Mom, we will keep smiling and be happy because you were in our lives. Bev was one strong lady and her stories will live on because “Who has more fun than people?”

We will be having a party per her request on March 23 at 1 p.m. at The Pheasant in Hermiston. She left behind years of love and stories for all to remember her by.

Please share memories of Beverly with her family at burnsmortuaryhermiston.com.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in care of arrangements.
