Jo Ann Boyle of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on July 8, 2024 at the age of 76.
She was born on March 18, 1948 in St. Paul, Minn. to Joseph and Edith Martin Gaspard.
Jo grew up and attended schools in Minnesota. As an adult she moved to Fort Collins, Colo., where she owned and operated the MatchUps Bar. She moved to Hermiston in 1998, where she had resided for the past 26 years. While living in Hermiston, she worked as a cook for Umatilla-Morrow Head Start for nearly 15 years. She retired from Head Start in 2014.
Jo married Gayle Boyle in Reno, Nev. in 1998.
Jo enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino.
She is survived by her husband, Gayle; sons, Corey Benson of Connecticut and Shannon Benson of Colorado; one granddaughter; two brothers, Fred Gaspard and Dale Gaspard, both of Minnesota; and several extended family members.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later time.
