Thr Hermiston Downtown District’s 2024 Melon Fest takes place on Saturday, Aug. 17.
The fun goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features not just the customary melon-themed activities – costume, seed spitting and watermelon-eating contests and bathtub races – but music, a performance by Gems Cheer Royals, kids’ activities, vendors, displays, and tons more besides.
