Brenda Joyce Calloway of Irrigon passed away in Hermiston on Dec. 22, 2024 at the age of 74.
She was born on April 10, 1950 in Phoenix, Ariz. to John and Beddie Meadows Bacon.
Brenda lived in Arizona most of her childhood where she attended her elementary schooling. She moved to Salem as a teen where she graduated from high school. She moved to Baker City in the 1970s where she worked at the hospital, as well as in local restaurants.
Brenda met Robert Calloway while living in Baker City. The couple were united in marriage on Oct. 18, 1979 in Lovelock, Nev.
They lived in the Baker City, Pilot Rock and Pendleton areas for several years. They moved to Irrigon in the mid-1990s where they have resided for the past 38 years.
Brenda worked as a salesperson for Wilcox Furniture in Hermiston for over 15 years. She kept her home meticulous, enjoyed going camping and to the Chief Joseph Days Rodeo, as well as spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Elie Calloway; stepchildren, Rick Calloway and Kathy Williams; grandsons, Elan and Evan; several stepgrandchildren; brothers, John and Andy; sister, Hope; and many extended family members.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later time.
