She was born on Aug. 4, 1942 in Kelso, Wash., to Paul and Genevieve Risley Gilley. Janet was raised in Kelso and then later Bay City. She graduated from Neah-Kah-Nie High School in Rockaway Beach. Janet married Maynard Blum on March 31, 1962 in Tillamook. They lived in Tillamook and Janet worked for the Tillamook County Creamery in the packaging department for over 35 years before retiring in 2002. They then moved to Irrigon to be near family, and have lived since. Janet enjoyed flowers and time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Maynard Blum, Irrigon; daughter, Kim Benson and her husband Don, Irrigon; and three grandchildren, Erin, Nick and Chris.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Ty Blum.
