Roger Severson Jr. May 10, 1952-Nov. 30, 2013

Roger Maurice Severson Jr. died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at Providence Medical Center in Portland at the age of 61.

He was born May 10, 1952 at Arcata, Calif., to Roger Maurice Severson Sr. and Virginia Mae (McIlrath) Severson.

He was raised in the Springfield/Eugene area. He joined the United States Marine Corps in 1970 and was honorably discharged. On Feb. 14, 2005 he married Rhonda (Trowbridge) Ritchie in Reno, Nev. Roger was a truck driver and worked for several companies including Hale Farms, Agri-Northwest and currently for Gresham Transfer. He enjoyed his motorcycle, camping, animals, and he loved his wife, family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda of Hermiston; mother, Virginia Williams of Hermiston; brother, Jeffrey Severson of Hermiston; sister, Rogena Olsen of Pilot Rock; and nephew, Brad Olsen of Pilot Rock.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger M. Severson Sr.

At his request, there will be no services held at this time. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Disposition was by cremation.
