He was born July 21, 1940 at Kingsburg, Calif., to Roy and Myrtle (Hoover) Westerling.
He was raised in Tulare, Calif. He worked as masonry contractor for most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, mule packing in the mountains and karoke singing.
He is survived by his significant other, Marion Zamudio of Umatilla; daughter, Debra Kingston of Irrigon; son, Larry Westerling of Eugene; brother, Dennis Westerling of Los Angeles; and two grandchildren, Danielle Marshall and Jeffrey Fuller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Myrtle Westerling; and brother, Don Westerling.
A family memorial will be held at a later date. Disposition was by cremation.
