Council to Continue Charter Modernization Tonight

The Hermiston City Council will hold a work session this evening prior to its regularly-scheduled council meeting to continue to process of modernizing the city charter.

The work session begins at 5:30 p.m. at Hermiston City Hall.

Following the work session, the council will consider a motion to approve an agreement between the city and the Oregon Department of Transportation. The agreement will allow ODOT to proceed with a $1.7 million upgrade to the Highway 395 traffic signal system.

Following the city council meeting, the city’s Urban Renewal Agency will meet to approve the appointment of three people to the façade grant committee.

The regularly-scheduled council meeting begins at 7 p.m.
