Job Summary
- Primarily sells products and services through door to door solicitation to new and existing EOT residential customers.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Solicits residential customers through door-to-door contact in EOT’s footprint
- Explains products and services available to potential customer via visual aids, and obtains customer orders
- Accurately completes all necessary paperwork for new orders in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines, including sales orders and sales reporting
- Meets established objectives and sales quotas in assigned territories
- Collects deposits and provides receipts according to Company policy and guidelines
- Attends and actively contributes to sales meetings and appropriate training as requested by the Sales Manager
- Performs other duties as requested by Sales Manager
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Understanding of and ability to perform consultative selling
- Knowledge of cold call sales skills
- Ability to sell products and services
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities using a reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to work outside for extended periods, during different seasons and/or during inclement weather
- Familiarity with computer operating systems
- Ability to deal with the public in a professional manner
- Maintain proper appearance/attitude at all times to represent EOT professionally in the community
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to maintain high level of self-motivation
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
- Certifications and/or Licenses:
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record within Company required standards; automobile insurance as required by law and Company standards
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of communications technologies and services
- Ability to speak and write Spanish
- Ability to use personal computer and i-Pad
- Experience with consumer education on products and services
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Working Conditions
- Typically spends approximately 80% of time in an outside environment with exposure to inclement weather. Minimal time in an office environment
