Pepsi Primetime @ the Museum at Tamástslikt Cultural Institute will presents one of the most accurate interpretations of World War I available the PBS documentary, WWI: America and the Great War.
The documentary will be shown at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12. The film describes the events, causes, trench warfare and the final drive by the American and Allied forces that ended it all on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918.
This collection of archival footage from sources around the world highlights the battles, the American military leaders, and the remarkable story of the “Red Baron,” the most feared German pilot who is credited with 80 Allied kills.
At the end of the war, after 9 million combatants were killed, the Treaty of Versailles drafted by the Allies, caused enormous bitterness in Germany. This animosity gave rise to Adolph Hitler’s Third Reich and World War II, the worst Holocaust in human history.
