The city of Hermiston and Hermiston Chamber of Commerce joint committee to develop a Hermiston community brand started its work last week, with the next meeting scheduled for Feb. 1.
The aim of the committee’s work is to develop a community brand identity that captures the essence of Hermiston with the following broad goals: give Hermiston an identity; promote Hermiston’s livability; help attract more businesses, families and tourists to the area.
Hermiston residents who would like to join the committee, are encouraged to apply no later than Feb. 1, using the application from the city of Hermiston website.
As information about the community brand effort is generated, it will be posted on a shared city and chamber website, www.HermistonBrand.com.
Hermiston residents will have the opportunity to share their opinion on two brand concepts (logo and tagline) via a confidential online or hard copy survey. More information about the survey timing will be shared once the schedule is determined.
