Snow Ball – Hermiston High School put on an informal dance last Saturday with its own dessert buffet and great music. The dance lasted three hours and was held at the school building.

Pink Out At Double Header – Hermiston Bulldogs competed against the Pendleton Buckaroos last Tuesday; many of the onlookers showed up wearing pink in support for the trending effort to get Kathryn Youngman on Ellen. HHS’ girl team won; HHS boys lost.

FFA – The Hermiston High FFA team members went to a competition this past week and brought back lots of first, second, and third place banners to show for their achievements.

Counselor Appreciation Week – This past week has been counselor appreciation week. Some of the students have brought in gifts and flowers for their favorite inspiration up in the vounseling office.

Chess Club – The Chess Club is preparing for the Region 23 tournament on Feb. 27, which will take place at Hermiston High School and is open to any of the chess players of the HHS team who register by Feb. 9.

Knowledge Bowl Team – HHS’ Knowledge Bowl team is going to its last competition — the Richland tournament on Feb. 9.

Valentine’s Day – To celebrate this holiday, the school is putting on a dance on an undisclosed date, and Key Club, Anime Club, and Majazzty will be selling Valograms, available now through Feb. 10 for students to buy for their sweetheart or, as the ad says, “anyone you want to embarrass.”
