The Pendleton Oregon State Police office will soon welcome one of 28 new OSP graduates.

On Friday, April 1, 28 of the newest OSP Recruit Troopers will graduate from the OSP Academy at the Oregon Public Safety Academy in Salem.

The day will represent the culmination of 25 weeks of intensive police training these recruits have undergone.

All 28 recruits began and completed an intensive four-week pre-academy training before earning their OSP badge. All but nine of these recruits, having lateraled to the department from other agencies, attended the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Academy at OPSA as a part of a Basic Police Class. After completing the Basic Police Academy all 28 recruits returned for the five-week OSP Post-Academy.

One of the newest recruits will report to the Pendleton command office for patrol duty.
