He was born on July 27, 1940 in Thomas, Okla., to Arnold and Nora Nix. Weldon was united in marriage to Beverly A. Winsby on November 26, 1958 in Reno, Nevada.
A champion horseman, his love for horses was endless. The greatest sparkle in his eye was his granddaughter, Daytona. She was truley his greatest love.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly Nix, Stanfield, OR; daughter: Debbie Tracy & her husband Jay, Hermiston, OR; granddaughter: Daytona; brother: Walter Nix & his wife Charlene; nieces: Bonnie Grenz & her children: Shelby & Wiley Jack, and Lisa Brewster & her children: Krista & Logan.
Weldon was preceded in death by his parents, nephew: Danny Nix & Great nephew: Blaine Grenz.
A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
