Beginning Aug. 8 the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be chip sealing the Ukiah-Hilgard Highway 395 at mile post zero and the junction of Interstate 84 at mile post 47 (Hilgard State Park/Exit 252).

The project is expected to take about three weeks to complete and will include resurfacing the pavement through downtown Ukiah.

Travelers can expect up to 20-minute delays, reduced speeds, loose rock on the roadway, flaggers, and pilot cars directing single lane traffic through the work zones. Minor delays may occur during nighttime/early morning hours for road sweeping. Motorists are encouraged to slow down and watch for construction activities in the area and plan extra travel time during this highway preservation project.
