Bulldogs Fall to 0-2 with Lewiston Loss

The Hermiston Bulldogs fell to 0-2 on the season after suffering a 38-13 loss to the Lewiston Bengals Friday night in Lewiston.

The Bengals’ quarterback Colton Richardson threw for 344 yards and three touchdowns on 27-of-37 passes to help guide the 2-0 Bengals to the victory.

Lewiston notched three scores in the first quarter to take a 21-0 lead before Hermiston’s Jonathan Hinkle broke through on a 2-yard run in the second quarter.

The Bulldogs scored a second touchdown in the fourth quarter when Andrew James connected with Tucker Salinas on a 65-yard pass. James finished the night with 16 completions on 29 attempts for 194 yards and two interceptions.

Hermiston will return home on Friday to host the 2-0 Mountain View Cougars. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Kennison Field.
