She was born on Dec. 7, 1925 in Evans, Colo., to Clarence and Alma Dorsey Southard. On July 12, 1948, Jo married Don Parrish at American Fall, Idaho. She was employed as a cook for the Hermiston School District for 20 years, most of that time was at West Park School. Jo was a member of the Eagles Aux. #2909 of Hermiston and the Union Pacific Employees Club.
Survivors include a son: Fred Parrish & his wife Jeannie, Camas, WA; a daughter: Linda Christophersen, and Donald Normand, Vernonia, OR; brother: Clarence Southard, Elgin, OR; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
Jo was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and 6 siblings: Frank, Berniece, Isabelle, Laura, James, and Wally.
A private family burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery, Hermiston, Oregon.
