The Mountain View Cougars scored in each quarter Friday night in handing the Hermiston Bulldogs a 28-7 road loss.

After Hermiston quarterback Andrew James scored on a rushing touchdown in the first quarter, the Bulldogs were unable to effectively move the ball against a tough Mountain View defense.

James ended the game with 128 rushing yards, but could only connect on 4 of 18 passes on the night.

The Cougars ran at will Friday night, totaling well over 300 yards on the ground with just over 400 total yards from scrimmage.

The loss drops Hermiston to 1-2 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. Mountain View improves to 3-0 and 1-0 in the league.

The Bulldogs will have a chance to reverse their fortunes in Bend when they hit the road for the second straight week (and the second straight week in Bend) when they take on 2-1 Summit, a team that edged Pendleton Friday night, 20-19.
