Judith Ann Garrett of Hermiston passed away on Sept. 23, 2017 at the age of 66.
She was born on Oct. 29, 1950 in Salem to Leo and Evelyn Chowanec Trahan.
She lived in the Salem area during her childhood, where she attended school. In the late 1980s, she moved to Pendleton, where she lived and worked for many years. She had resided in the Hermiston area for several years. Judith worked as a word processing technician at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution throughout her career until retiring in 2011.
She married Vern Garrett in 1986 in Stayton. She enjoyed being a grandma, spending time with her husband and caring for her pets.
She is survived by her children, Kina Garrett, Denise Garrett and Robert DeeWayne Garrett; sister, Vivian Duhart; grandchildren, Kina Beth, Cleora, Brandon, Samantha, Dakota, Tiffany, Amber and Cody; and great grandchildren, McKenna and Braleigh.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern, in 2012; son, Vern James Garrett; sister, Betty Trahan; and both of her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton.
