Open enrollment for 2018 Medicare coverage is under way and will end on Dec. 7. Good Shepherd Medical Center is offering several free informational sessions with trained SHIBA volunteers on hand to offer Medicare counseling and information. They can also help seniors wanting to switch prescription plans.
The sessions taking place on Oct. 27 and Nov. 10 will be in conference rooms 5 and 6 (by the cafeteria), and the sessions on Nov. 3 and 17, and Dec. 1 will be in conference room 7 (by the education department). I need assistance in choosing a new medicare supplemental, as the one I have been using for the last 8 years is apparently not available for Lake County, IL residents for 2018. Can I set up an appointment to meet with someone to get assistance?
