The three officers (along with two officers from the Umatilla Police Department, and one deputy from the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office) earned their badges on Thursday after completing the 2018 Multi-Agency Police Reserve Academy.

The three officers attended 200 hours of training over a period of five months in order to achieve this milestone.

As reserve officers, the three have outside jobs, said HPD Capt. Scott Clark.

“All of these officers are employed in different disciplines outside of police work, and donate all of their time around their busy life-schedules in order to both receive this training, and now serve their communities.,” Clark said. :”We are so thankful for their desire to serve, and appreciate them wholeheartedly.”
