Some movie theaters around the country have come up with a way to help make ends meet and keep the theater experience alive during the coronavirus-induced closures: drive-through concessions sales.
The Hermiston Stadium 8 Cinema, 355 W. Theater Lane, has picked up on the idea and will hold a concessions sale this Friday and Saturday, May 1-2 from 4 to 7 p.m. Items for sale are listed on the theater’s Facebook page. The list of candies is buried in a comment thread; it includes Kit Kat, Hot Tamales, Milk Duds, Whoppers, Snickers, Gummi Bears, Sour Patch Kids, Chocolate Covered Raisins, Jr. Mints, Chocolate Almonds, Butterfingers, Watermelon Sour Patch, Red Vines, Buncha Crunch, Mike and Ike, Dots, Lifesaver Gummies, Cookie Dough Bites, Airheads, Starburst, M&M Plain, M&M Peanut Butter, M&M Peanut, Skittles, Sour Skittles, and Reese’s Pieces.
