Arnold Joseph Theisen died on May 22, 2022 at the age of 84 in Irrigon, where he was currently living.
He was born in Wilmot, S.D. on Aug. 13, 1937.
Arnold lived a wonderful life doing what he loved most and that was fishing, camping, photography, and writing outdoor articles for newspapers and magazines, among other hobbies. Arnold worked 28 years in logistics for the U.S. Air Force. He was also mayor pro tem of Irrigon and enjoyed helping the community he lived in.
He was married to the love of his life, Eileen Theisen, who preceded him in death, for 56 years. They had five children, Linda Raines, John Theisen, Paul Theisen, Janet Lowe, and Nancy Ketterling. They also had 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He also had a sister, Ellen Hallmark and a brother, Charles Theisen, who preceded him in death.
Arnold will be laid to rest in a private gathering of family and close friends at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon on May 31, 2022.

I just was looking for Ellen and Joe’s obit came up. It seems like yesterday we were at Mom T’s
celebration of life. I am happy I saw them both then, even though it was short.
