Young hunters have a chance to win one of five spring youth turkey hunts on the C2 Ranch near Medford.
The C2 Cattle Company, in partnership with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife’s Access and Habitat Program and the Rogue Valley Chapter of the Oregon Hunters Association offers this opportunity to youth 17 and under.
Register by 11:59 p.m. Mar. 1. Winners will be notified by Mar. 3.
To be eligible, hunters must be 17 or under on the day of the hunt, have a valid hunting license, and a spring turkey tag. Youth hunters enrolled in the Mentored Youth Hunter Program can apply but cannot hunt youth weekend (Apr. 8-9).
Successful applicants have three days of access to the C2 Ranch. A parent or other unarmed adult may accompany the youth hunter. The ranch will coordinate the three-day hunts and try to accommodate requests for hunting dates to the best of their ability.
The spring youth hunt is April 8-9, and the general spring turkey season is April 15-May 31.
The C2 Cattle Company is a 10,000 acre ranch located 25 minutes east of Medford. C2 is a conservation minded cattle ranch that has a vision of preserving the land and natural resources including wild game, while running a working cattle ranch.
