Donny Benson of Irrigon passed away on June 12, 2023 after medical complications at the age of 60.
He was born on Feb. 5, 1963 to Billy and Yvonne Benson in Condon.
Donny graduated from Tillamook High in the class of 1981. In 1982, Donny married Kimberly Blum and they were blessed with two sons, Nicholas James and Christopher Allen.
Donny worked for more than 20 years for Lamb Weston, working his way up to management. When Donny retired, he spent his time going to yard sales, telling dad jokes, wood working, bowling, fishing, collecting Christmas decorations and spending time with his granddaughter, Brielle.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Kimberly of Irrigon; mother, Yvonne of Netarts; brothers, Shawn of Tillamook and Danny (wife Teresa) of Klamath Falls; sons, Nicholas (wife Ashley and their daughter Brielle) and Christopher (wife Tashina) of Hermiston; and a fur child, Shelby.
Donny was preceded in death by his dad, Billy Benson and uncles, Bob and Larry Benson.
A celebration of Donny’s life will be held at Irrigon Marina Park on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 10 a.m. Those who knew him are welcome to join his family to remember and celebrate his touch on your life.
