Lola Davidson Passes Away at Age 72

Lola Fay Davidson died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Regency Hermiston Nursing Facility in Hermiston at the age 72.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1942 in Garrison, N.D., to Severt and Hazel (Neper) Swenson. She was raised in Garrison and went to school there until she met Fred Olson, who she married and had five children with then divorced. Lola moved to the Tri-Cities, Wash. to live and work with her sisters. She moved to Idaho after having some ups and downs before moving back to the Oregon area where she met Vernal Davidson. They married and spent many years working and traveling together. Lola also worked for the Boardman School District as a cook and found a great deal of enjoyment working as a caregiver for the elderly. She loved spending time with her family, grand kids, friends and animals.

She is survived by sons, Blaine Olson of Minnesota, Brian Olson of Minnesota, Shawn Olson of Seattle, and Brayden Davidson of Wyoming; daughters, Stacey Garcia of Hermiston, Vynetta Olson of Minnesota, Bonna Byne of Tri-Cities, Keara Lee Davidson of Wyoming, and Jerry Davidson of Virginia Beach, Va.; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands, Fred Olson and Vernal Davidson; and parents, Severt and Hazel Swenson.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 200 Willow Fork Drive, Boardman. Burial of cremains will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Boardman.
