One person was injured and a storage facility was burned down when a fire broke out at an onion storage building at Cleaver Farming on Westland Road on Wednesday.
According to Hermiston Fire & Emergency Services, the injured employee was flown to a burn center in Portland. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire has not been determined. The fire started around 3:30 p.m. in a storage building that was approximately 400 feet by 150 feet and was reported to be “under control” around 5 p.m. Multiple crews remained on the scene until the fire was completely out.
