The winter season may be halfway over, but Mother Nature is just getting started. As much as two to four inches of snow is expected to fall in the lower Columbia Basin and a winter weather advisory is in effect until Friday morning.
The National Weather Service says driving conditions will be hazardous with reduced visibility as snow continues to fall today until around 10 a.m. on Friday.
According to the weather service, an upper level low is moving toward the Pacific Northwest this morning with ample moisture wrapping around the southern periphery of the system. The winter weather advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Friday.
The temperatures are expected to remain well below freezing with a low tonight of around 12 degrees and high on Friday of 21. The weather will begin to warm back up by mid-week next week. The forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-40s by mid-week.
