A frightening scenario played out in Ontario early this morning that left two people dead and two others seriously injured during an apparent kidnapping.
Around 5:45 a.m., the Ontario Police Department responded to the report of a kidnapping in progress at a convenience store in Ontario. Just as Ontario Police arrived on scene, the suspect fled in a Dodge pickup. Officers received information there was an adult female being held against her will in the pickup. Officers pursued the suspect in the city then south onto Highway 201.
As the Dodge was traveling southbound it crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound Ford sport utility. The driver of that Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene. A passenger in the Ford was taken to an area hospital for serious injuries.
The suspect and driver of the Dodge received serious injuries and also taken to an area hospital. Inside the Dodge was an adult female who was deceased.
No names have been released as of Monday afternoon.
