The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department will host the 2023 Melon Fest this Saturday, Aug. 19 on Main and Festival streets in downtown Hermiston.
The event goes from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes live entertainment, a marketplace, kids’ activities, costume and seed-spitting contests – and of course the bathtub races. To register a race team, go online.
