Only a few days are left to register for the Umatilla County Fair Kick-Off Parade, exhibitor camping, Open Class and 4-H exhibitor entries.
The deadline to register, as it is every year, is July 15. The fair’s theme is A Blue Ribbon Future.
The fair parade, set for Saturday, Aug. 3 at 6:30 p.m., is almost full and only 125 entries will be accepted. This year’s parade will have a new route.
Carnival wristbands are available for $30 if purchased prior to noon on Aug. 6, otherwise they will cost $40. Wristbands do not include fair admission, however, children 10 and under are admitted to the fair for free every day.
Fair tickets, carnival tickets, Latino Night tickets and concert tickets can be purchased online, at the fair office or at Velascos Used Car Sales.
Fun @ the Fair Kids Camp will run for four days this year – Tuesday, Aug. 6 through Friday, Aug. 9. The camp is for kids in first through fifth grades. Campers will get behind the scenes fair experiences, arts, crafts and activities with other camp children. Tickets cost $100. Space is limited. Go online to register.
The headline entertainers this year will be Pecos and the Rooftops at 9 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 7, Kameron Marlowe at 9 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 8, Theory of a Deadman at 9 p.m., on Friday, Aug. 9, and Latino Night at 7 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 10.
