Four Blue Mountain Community College soccer players have been named to the Northwest Athletic Conference All-Region Team.
These student-athletes are the first-ever BMCC soccer players to achieve this honor as women’s soccer at the College just began in 2016 and men’s soccer in 2017.
On the women’s team, Karrigan Hansen, a freshman DF from Salt Lake City, Utah, who is also the team captain, was named to the Eastern Region team. On the men’s side, team captain Andy Corcuera, a freshman midfielder from Hermiston; Giovanni Madrigal, a freshman midfielder from Hermiston, and Brian Ramirez, a freshman midfielder from Pendleton, were also named to the Eastern Region team.
“I am very proud of Kerrigan, Andy, Brian and Giovanni,” said BMCC Head Soccer Coach Art Mota, who coaches both teams. “They are great role models on and off the field, and they have set the standard for others to follow. This is a clear indication that both programs are going in the right direction as we continue to build our programs with student-athletes who are of high character.”
