The schedule for the 2014 Hermiston Farm Fair has been released.
The Farm Fair, set for Dec. 3-5 at the Hermiston Conference Center, will kick off with two potato production sessions, the first going from 8 a.m. to noon, and then from 1 to 5 p.m. Also, on Wednesday, Dec. 3, there will be a high residue farming workshop from 1 to 5 p.m. A $15 pre-registration fee is required.
On Thursday, Dec. 4, there will be a general session from 8 a.m. to noon, as well as a pair of cereal sessions – the first from 8 a.m. to noon, and the second from 1 to 5 p.m. A core program will also take place from 1 to 5 p.m. There is a $10 fee for the core program.
The Farm Fair Banquet will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 each.
On Friday, Dec. 5, a pest management session will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, as well as a core program from 8 a.m. to noon ($10 fee for the core program).
All sessions are free to attendees except for the core programs and high residue farming workshop. No pre-registration is required except for the workshop.
Oregon, Washington and Idaho pesticide credits will be available. The Farm Fair is expected to include over 50 exhibitors of products and services of interest to the agricultural community.
