Hermiston residents, it’s time to start rounding up your unwanted items (with some exceptions) for free disposal at the Community Recycling Event on Saturday, May 18.
The Hermiston Parks and Recreation Department and Sanitary Disposal/Waste Connections will be collecting items from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Hope Community Church, 1350 S. Highway 395.
Items that will not be accepted include electronics, refrigerators, air conditioners, household hazardous waste (fertilizer, gas, paints, oils, etc.) and tree stumps. For more information, call the parks department at 541-667-5018.
