The Umatilla Police Department is asking for the public’s help involving a shooting early Thursday, Sept. 26, that injured a 21-year-old man.
Police in a press release reported at approximately 1:25 a.m. the Umatilla County dispatch center received numerous 911 calls reporting gunshots in the area of Pine Tree Avenue and Blue Bird Drive.
Officers responded within a minute of the callout and identified the victim, who received medical care. Police also reported he was the only person injured.
An Oregon State Police forensics team investigated the scene, and Umatilla police urged anyone who lives in the area of Pine Tree Avenue, Blue Bird Drive or Pheasant Ridge Road to check their cameras for any footage that could relate to the shooting and contact the department at at 541-922-3789 with any details or video.
