Jon Gary Rayburn of Hermiston passed away in Hermiston on Oct. 21, 2024 at the age of 65.
He was born on Dec. 20, 1958 in La Grande to Gary and Janet Viergutz Rayburn.
Jon moved from La Grande to Hermiston when he was 7 years of age. He attended school in Hermiston and graduated from Hermiston High School in the class of 1977. As a young man, he began his career with Marlette Manufactured Homes. He worked throughout his career installing drywall for Marlette Homes until health complications forced him to retire.
Jon enjoyed going hunting and fishing for many years.
Jon married Vickie Finley in Seaside on Aug. 3, 1990. She preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2010.
He is survived by his stepfather, Herman Bush; sisters, Lisa Larsen and Terri Bernstein; three nieces, Alexa, Olivia and Gigi; stepson, Adam Archer; and two granddaughters, Riley and Jules.
At his request, no services will be held.
Family suggests memorial donations in Jon’s memory be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
