Trailer, motorcycle stolen in Hermiston leads to multiple arrests in Kennewick

KENNEWICK, Wash.-The investigation into a trailer and motorcycle stolen in Hermiston on June 19, ultimately led to the arrest of five people on outstanding warrants in Kennewick on July 10.

In addition to the arrests, over twenty people were detained when Kennewick Police and the Tri-Cities Regional SWAT team served a search warrant at a property on the 3300 block of West 10th Avenue in Kennewick around 6:30 a.m.

Hermiston PD has confirmed that the SWAT incident was related to the theft in Hermiston in June.

According to Kennewick Police, the department’s Criminal Apprehension Team had been working with Hermiston PD Detectives on the case since June and it was believed that the car, reported stolen out of Hermiston, was being stored on the property.

The car was found in one of several buildings on the property during the execution of the search warrant.

The five men arrested on outstanding warrants range in age from 26 to 42-years-old and were booked into the Benton County Jail.

The investigation is ongoing, and more criminal charges could still be filed, according to the KPD.
