MILTON-FREEWATER, Ore.-A Milton-Freewater man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual abuse.
The arrest stems from an investigation that started on June 11, when Milton-Freewater police received reports of the possible sexual abuse of a juvenile victim.
The victim was interviewed at the Pendleton Guardian Care Center and worked with Milton-Freewater PD Detectives to identify the suspect.
According to Milton-Freewater PD, the suspect, a 42-year-old Milton-Freewater man, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Umatilla County on August 21 and was interviewed by detectives investigating the suspected sexual abuse.
The suspect was then booked into the Umatilla County Jail on suspicion of attempted unlawful sexual penetration in the first degree, attempted sexual abuse in the first degree and harassment.
The case has been forwarded to the Umatilla County District Attorney’s Office.
