Stanley Mills passed away on Sept. 17, 2025 in Hermiston.
He was born on Oct. 14, 1940 in Scotts Bluff, Neb. to Chester and Dorothy Mills.
One of Stanley’s main passions in life was farming, especially potato farming. He loved going down to the local farm supply store and checking out all the new equipment.
Stanley married his wife Gracie in 1997; they were married for nearly 30 years. Stanley had two children from his previous marriage, Kevin Mills and Kellie McPeak. Gracie came into the Stanleys’ lives with three children of her own, Kathrine, Doug, and Duard Morrell. While they did not have any children together, Stanley treated them all as his own. He was a very proud grandfather, but even prouder great-grandfather.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Grace; son, Kevin Mills (Toni); daughter, Kellie McPeak (Perry); stepchildren, Kathrine Morrell, Doug Morrell (Jenny) and Duard Morrell (Patty); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a graveside service held at the Desert Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Irrigon on Stanley’s birthday, Oct. 14, 2025 at 11 a.m.
