Benjamin Miller II Passes Away at 72

Benjamin Lee Miller II passed away on July 26, 2025 in Hermiston at the age of 72.

He was born on March 25, 1953 in Heppner.

Benjamin Lee was the youngest son and child of Donald and Jabudah Miller. He grew up in Hermiston, attending Hermiston public schools. Ben lettered in track and field, was a member of the honor society, and was an active member of the thespian club, performing in multiple plays throughout high school. Ben went on to perform for the past 45 years in the “I AM” Come Pageant in Mount Shasta, Calif., telling the story of the life of Jesus. Ben played the role of Peter. Ben also had multiple roles in the patriotic plays about the birth of the United States of America.

Ben lived in Florida, Honolulu, Hawaii and Mount Shasta, Calif. and for several years managed a welding store in Gresham. Ben was a world traveler, with his trips to Jerusalem and New Zealand being his most memorable. Ben was happiest working in his shop creating beautiful works of art from wood and metal. Ben was also a master mechanic and carpenter; he could repair or build anything. Ben also enjoyed gardening and landscaping.

Benjamin Lee is survived by a brother, Raymond; wife, Barbara Miller of Gresham; sisters, Linda Miller of Hermiston and Sheila Cross of Kennewick, Wash.; and many nephews and nieces who loved and adored him. His sister, Pennelope Pollard-Cano, passed away in 2012.

There will be a memorial service on March 14, 2026 at Stanfield Community Center starting at 1 p.m.
