Dario John Godinez died on Oct. 27, 2025 in Hermiston at the age of 67.
He was born on Oct. 20, 1958 in Hermiston to James and Lois Lopez Godinez.
Dario was raised and attended schools in Redmond. He returned to Hermiston in 1979, where he had lived since. Dario worked as a Hyster driver for the Oregon Department of Agriculture and for the Yakima Gospel Mission. Dario loved baseball, old black-and-white westerns on TV, Louis Lamour books and going for drives, and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who loved his family dearly. He will fondly be remembered as Dog Leg and Thriller.
He is survived by his sisters, Christina Johnston, Redmond, Lauren Leaton, Hermiston, Evelyn Dubisar, Redmond, Alicia Godinez, Hermiston and Vivian Godinez Sullivan, Pendleton; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dario was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ermin and Richard Godinez; and nephew, Brandon Sullivan.
Services were held on Sunday, Nov. 9, 2025 at the Hermiston Cemetery.
