William E. “Bill” Martin Jr. of Hermiston died on Dec. 20, 2025 in Hermiston at the age of 59.
He was born on April 9, 1966 in Burley, Idaho to William Sr. and Verla Martin.
Bill was raised and attended school in Murtaugh, Idaho. He served in the United States Navy during Desert Storm and the Gulf War before his honorable discharge.
Bill was united in marriage to Marilou Lingal on March 26, 1991 in San Diego, Calif. They lived in Mountain Home, Idaho, and Bill worked as the food service supervisor at the high-security prison in Boise for a time and then as the general manager for Burger King in Mountain Home. He was promoted to district manager in 2013 and relocated to Hermiston, where he had lived since. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and panning for gold and was an avid Boise State Bronco football fan.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marilou Martin, Hermiston; daughter, Jasmine Sauce (Rocky), Notus, Idaho; sons, Tyson Madden, Spokane, Wash., Jonathon Martin (Johnathon Folsom), Ludowici, Ga., Christofer Martin, Hermiston and Nathan Martin (Megan Rose) Hermiston; sisters, Robyn Ross, Kimberly, Idaho, Lacy Rice, Twin Falls, Idaho and Sarah Rice, Hansen, Idaho; brothers, Todd Maas, Mountain Home, Idaho and Jason Martin, Sparks, Nev.; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Martin Sr. and Verla Rice and a sister, Codie Melugin.
A funeral service was held on Dec. 27, 2025.
